The ISU Block and Bridle Club and the animal science department hosted “The Truth: Lean Finely Textured Beef” on April 10. The forum attracted more than 400 people. The speakers included Governor Terry Branstad; Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds; Congressman Steve King; Jim Dickson, animal science professor; Janet Riley, American Meat Institute; and Nancy Degner, Iowa Beef Industry Council. Brady McNeil, president of the ISU Block and Bridle Club was the host at the event.
