Cases of extreme malnutrition occur in the Kamuli District of Uganda. Funds collected by Establish & Grow were used to help a mother and her child. Resources provided through Volunteer Efforts for Development Concerns (VEDCO) were utilized for nutrient-dense meals, seeds for crops, and educational training in agriculture, nutrition and health. The mother was able to develop her gardens and fields, bring her child back to health, and give birth to another healthy child who weighed over 8 pounds at birth.
