Senior Awards

This is a general application for the College of Agriculture senior awards. The following awards will be determined by the information provided in this application:

Criteria: Ag Student 0rg

• Outstanding Senior: leadership involvement, service involvement, scholastic record, and the length of this involvement while at ISU.
• Leadership Excellence: positions held while at ISU (officer, chair, committee member, etc.) and the length of involvement in these while at ISU.
• Academic Achievement: Cumulative GPA, Scholarships received, Honors received while at ISU, and the semesters on the Dean's List.
• Distinguished Service: activities (both on and off-campus); community service at ISU, the Ames community, and hometown community, organizations served with; and the number of years involved in these activities while at ISU.

*NEW* Outstanding Ambassador of Agriculture: This award is for a senior who has positively promoted Agriculture through different college clubs and industry internships. This person should show a passion for the industry and informing the public about industry issues.

•Applications may be submitted by either the student OR the through
      a nomination by an advisor.Anyone can nominate you for an award.
    • Spring Graduating Seniors: Applicantions must be submitted by 5:00 P.M., March 24, 2010 in 23 Curtiss
    • Applicants may apply for any award they wish to be considered for.
      Student Submitted Application:

• Fill out general information on this form, and submit a 150 word or less typed statement of why you believe you deserve this award.
    • Attach the typed statement and an additional sheet with the following information (be specific):
    • Leadership Activities while at ISU.
    • Ames, hometown, and campus community service activities while at ISU.
    • Scholastic Activities while at ISU (honors program, honor societies, etc.)
    • Leadership positions held while at ISU.
    • Also include your number of years of involvement in these activities.
    • Any other information that you believe will influence receiving this award.
    • Attach a current copy of your resume to the application.

Advisor Nomination:
• Fill out general information on this form and submit a 300 word or less typed statement why you believe your advisee deserves this award.
