Applications must be submitted on-line between December 26 and February 15. Applications will not be accepted after February 15. Scholarship Eligibility RequirementsYour application will be considered if you satisfy these eligibility requirements:
Scholarship winners are selected by the College Scholarships and Awards Committee based on specific criteria listed for each scholarship, plus academic achievement, professional promise and leadership. Some of the scholarships awarded require students to show financial need. If a scholarship requires additional information, such as an essay or statement, it must be submitted in printed form to the scholarship committee, Room 130 Curtiss Hall by February 15. Financial need guidelines:
NOTE: Although the official FAFSA deadline is March 1, we encourage filing before March 1 because if you wait until the last minute and there is a technical problem (ice storm, power outage, system is jammed because of too many submissions at once, etc.) your FAFSA score will not get to us in time. Scholarship recipients are notified in late March. Awards will be distributed in equal installments at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters and credited to the student's university account. If a scholarship recipient transfers out of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the scholarship will terminate at the beginning of the following semester. All students majoring in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences are considered for scholarships, with priority going to students who have the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as their primary academic home and are making appropriate progress toward graduation. Departmental scholarships also are available. Contact the department office for information. Click here for a listing of departmental scholarship website links.
