Applications must be submitted on-line between December 26 and February 15. Applications will not be accepted after February 15. Scholarship Eligibility RequirementsYour application will be considered if you satisfy these eligibility requirements:
Scholarship winners are selected by the College Scholarships and Awards Committee based on specific criteria listed for each scholarship, plus academic achievement, professional promise and leadership. Some of the scholarships awarded require students to show financial need. If a scholarship requires additional information, such as an essay or statement, it must be submitted in printed form to the scholarship committee, Room 223C Curtiss Hall by February 15. Financial need guidelines:
NOTE: Although the official FAFSA deadline is March 1, we encourage filing before March 1 to avoid technical problems that may occur if too many people are filing at the last minute. You may fill out the scholarship application before filing for FAFSA. The two processes are separate. We will obtain your FAFSA score from the Office of Student Financial Aid the second week of March. Scholarship recipients are notified in late March. Awards will be distributed in equal installments at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters and credited to the student's university account. If a scholarship recipient changes majors and transfers out of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the scholarship will terminate at the beginning of the following semester. All students majoring in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences are considered for scholarships, with priority going to students who have the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as their primary academic home and are making appropriate progress toward graduation. Departmental scholarships also are available. Contact the department office for information. Click here for a listing of departmental scholarship website links. If you were awarded a 4-year scholarship your freshman year, you do not need to re-apply, since the scholarship will be automatically renewed as long as you are meeting the criteria.
