Departmental scholarships in the College of Agriculture and Life SciencesAg & Biosystems EngineeringThanks to many generous supporters of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, nearly $60,000 in departmental scholarships are awarded annually to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, and Industrial Technology.

Contact Person: Bryony Bonning, bbonning@iastate.edu 515-294-7400 Food Science & Human NutritionScholarships are given annually by the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition to undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated academic excellence, professional promise, and financial need. Except where noted, a 3.0 GPA or higher is needed to be eligible for an undergraduate scholarship, and the form can be obtained from the following web site: www.fshn.hs.iastate.edu/undergraduate/scholarships/. The graduate form can be obtained from www.fshn.hs.iastate.edu/graduate-program/scholarships/. To apply for a scholarship, complete the appropriate application form and return to Jean Tilley, 220 MacKay Hall by February 1. 515-294-2321. Genetics Development and Cell BiologyGenetics
All Incoming freshmen in Genetics are considered for the Genetics-Fung Scholarship for Incoming Freshmen, a $4000 award. Students must have applied and been accepted to ISU by February 1st. Other scholarships for undergraduate students in Genetics include the Heimbuch Scholarship, the Fung Scholarship and the Larson Scholarships. Every year the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management, through the generosity of our many donors, is able to award over $40,000 in undergraduate and graduate scholarships ranging from $250 to $2,000. We offer a variety of scholarships that are specified for incoming freshman, transfer and current undergraduate students and current graduate students. Most applications for NREM Scholarships are available at the beginning of the spring semester. Students are notified during mid-semester of the selections and are invited to attend the annual department spring banquet which recognizes donors, alumni, and celebrates student achievement, scholarship and leadership. These awards are available for ISU sociology majors, including students majoring in Public Service and Administration in Agriculture (PSA). Each year in February, the department's awards committee posts descriptions of the awards in East Hall and updates the web site.
