OSPA: Guidelines on Using Dept. of Energy's EERE eXCHANGE

ISU's Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (OSPA) offers the following guidelines for PI’s who need assistance with applying to DOE funding opportunities that require the use of DOE’s EERE eXCHANGE, https://eere-exchange.energy.gov/Default.aspx.

Please know that OSPA is now registered in the EERE eXCHANGE. What you will need to do is:

1. Register in the EERE eXCHANGE, https://eere-exchange.energy.gov/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fSubmissionDetai.... You will also need to have anyone that you want to have access to this submission in the EERE eXCHANGE register as well.

2. Send an email to OSPA-Proposals@iastate.edu letting us know which funding opportunity you are applying to and who you need for us to share this proposal with in the EERE eXCHANGE.

3. OSPA will then start the submission for you in the EERE eXCHANGE and we will allow access for you and whomever else you want to have access. You will receive an email about the share access. You will now be able to edit the proposal as you wish.

4. Once you are done with your proposal, you will need to email the OSPA Pre-Award Administrator you are working with to tell them that your proposal is ready to be submitted and OSPA will submit for you.

5. Please note that there are usually 2 levels of submissions for this type of proposal, concept paper and full submission. Because the concept papers do not require a detailed budget, you do not have to do a Goldsheet at this level. If you are invited to submit a full application, then you will have to do a Goldsheet.

Please let OSPA staff know if you have any questions by emailing OSPA-Proposals@iastate.edu
