ISU Agricultural Engineering Student Clubs Named Best in the Nation

AMES, Iowa — Two Iowa State University agricultural engineering student clubs were named best in the nation at the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) international conference held July 27-30 in Las Vegas.

This is the second year in a row the ASAE Club has received the honor and the fifth year in a row that the Agricultural Systems Technology Club has won.

ISU agricultural and biosystems engineering students also took first and second place in the student paper competition. Amber Hasche, a senior from Hartley, won first place and Vince Stout, a senior from Brighton, won second place.

ISU students also won first place in the student environmental design competition. The winning team included Stout; Pat Murphy, a graduate student from Long Grove; and Mark Mommsen, a senior from Goose Lake.

Jennifer Krebill, a senior from Donnellson, received one of three ASAE Foundation Scholarships. She received the $1,000 William and Marijane Adam ASAE Foundation Scholarship.
