Committee Review(s) for Special Use Studies

     Approval date or pending status from appropriate University committees should be provided with the project documentation. The CSREES-2008 Assurance Statements form is prepared by the Station Projects Office according to the special use approval documentation sent with the project proposal. Special approval is required if a proposed project:

1. Involves research with human subjects. See Human Subjects
2. Involves research with animal subjects. See Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
3. Involves research with radioactive materials (labs must be inspected and approved). See Institutional Biosafety Committee
4. Research involving human or animal pathogens, biological toxins (for example, tetanus toxin), or recombinant DNA, including transgenic animals requires approval by the See Institutional Biosafety Committee
