Checklist for IAHEES Project Proposal


  1. Are objectives clear, specific and stated exactly the same as on the AD-416 form? Can completion of objectives be expected within the duration of the project?

  2. Does the justification section discuss the significance of the problem, its importance to agriculture, rural life, and consumers? Is there a need and advantage of the research approach? Is the impact of the work described?

  3. Has all pertinent previous and current research been sufficiently identified?

  4. Do procedures describe the activities that will address the project objectives? Have the working plans and evidence of design been included?

  5. Are all references included in the project proposal also cited under section Literature Citations?

  6. Have signatures of project PIs and their DEOs been obtained on the IAHEES project proposal signature page?

  7. Is the DEO memo of recommendation included with the project documentation?
