ISU Delegation to Visit Korea
A delegation from ISU including Dean Catherine Woteki will travel to Korea in May. Dean Woteki has been invited by Yeungnam University to visit and present a seminar. While in Korea, she will spend a day with a College of Agriculture study abroad group led by Joe Colletti and Richard Schultz and sign an agreement to open up a flow of undergraduate students from Korea to the College of Agriculture. Other members of the ISU delegation are David Acker, Eric Hoiberg and Max Rothschild. Dr. Rothschild will present 3 seminars while there.

SABIT Interns at ISU
Six young professionals from Ukraine arrived at ISU in late April to participate in a three-month training program funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The Special American Business Intern Training Program (SABIT) funds international travel and living costs for young professionals in Eurasia to participate in practical non-academic training in the U.S. The SABIT program at ISU, coordinated through the Global Agriculture Programs Office, focuses on seed and grain handling in a market economy and includes participation from faculty and staff in the Departments of Economics, Agricultural Education and Studies, Food Science and Human Nutrition, and Agronomy, as well as the Seed Science Center and University Extension.
