Chinese Professors Visit ISU
Two professors from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, are visiting Iowa State University as part of a USIA-funded project which focuses on strengthening rural client-oriented research and extension education programs. While at Iowa State University, the visiting professors are discussing curriculum, research and outreach issues with faculty and staff in the College of Agriculture who are involved in ISU Extension. Tours and on-site visits have included the Iowa State Fair, Living History Farms, Rhodes Farm Field Day, the Chicago Board of Trade, and the Mercantile Exchange. In addition, the Black Hawk County Extension office in Waterloo is hosting the professors to provide first-hand experience of the activities and services of an Iowa county extension office.
