Fulbright International Scholar Exchange
Global opportunities are available for lecturing and/or research through the Fulbright Scholar Program, sponsored by the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES).

U.S. citizenship is required, as is a Ph.D. or equivalent professional degree, and college or university teaching experience at the level and in the field of the proposed lecturing activity. While foreign language proficiency is specified in award descriptions, English is usually sufficient for lecturing.

While many countries request all specialties, some of the more specific opportunities in the Agriculture and Environmental Science fields include animal nutrition; precision agriculture; natural resources management; integrated pest management; waste management; water use and reuse; ecotourism; climate change; and wildlife management.

August 1 is the application deadline for the 2001-2002 academic year. See http://www.iie.org/cies/ for more complete information.
