Two Grant Opportunities in the College of Agriculture
The Dean of Agriculture's International Research Grants Program: A second opportunity for faculty and staff to submit proposals for the Dean of Agriculture's International Research Grants Program has been offered this fiscal year. The deadline is February 15, 1999.

Funding for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows:
Based on the advice of the International Agriculture Programs Faculty Advisory Committee, a new component of the Dean of Agriculture's International Research Grants Program has been added. Funds are now available for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows for involvement in international research and education. The deadline is February 22, 1999.

Copies of both announcements have been sent to departments and centers. For more information or additional copies, please contact Elena Polouchkina, 4-8493, elenap@iastate.edu.

China is Focus of Next Brown Bag Session
The next brown bag lunch and informational session is scheduled for February 3, 1999, in Room 142 Curtiss Hall. The seminar will focus on China and the new USIA Project linking Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, with the Colleges of Agriculture and LAS. The project will assist Zhejiang University in its goal to strengthen outreach programs for rural communities. Please mark your calendars to attend.
