Churn out a Homecoming Victory with Butter Cy!

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Homecoming at Iowa State University on Oct. 27, 2012 the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences commissioned a life-sized sculpture of the Iowa State University mascot, Cy, made out of 300 pounds of butter. Sponsored by Midwest Dairy Association, “Butter Cy” was available to view through a window into a cooler located in the ISU Meat Laboratory during and after sculpting (beginning Oct. 22 and ending Oct. 26). A live web cam and daily time-lapse video were available online and campus viewing was open to the public.
