Attention: Supervisors of ISU facilities (farms, offices, labs)

Please follow these steps if any suspicious activity occurs at the ISU facility under your supervision:

Do not disturb the site.
Evacuate the area.
Contact the law enforcement authorities for your area (campus area--Department of Public Safety at 294-4428, off-campus--local police or sheriff).
Contact emergency medical personnel in the event of any possible human health risks.
Contact your ISU supervisor and your unit administrator as soon as possible.
If animals are involved, contact the attending veterinarian. Communicate the results of the veterinarian's visit to ISU Lab Animal Resources.
Keep notes of the occurrence.

Reminder: Although ISU facilities are public, as the supervisor of an ISU facility, you have the responsibility to inquire about the background and intent of any visitor. Visitor access may be denied based on your on-site impressions.

Individuals who are denied access can be referred to your supervisor for follow-up. Please keep a record of anyone denied access to the facility.
