Mary de Baca

Mary M. de Baca coordinates diversity programs for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS).  She is program and financial advisor to the George Washington Carver Internship Program, oversees the Graduate Research Assistant Match program, offers Faculty Research Exchange Visits with Minority Serving Institutions, and assists with proposal writing involving traditionally underrepresented students and faculty.

She works with the CALS Diversity Committee and the Multicultural Office on strategic planning and implementation of recruitment, retention, and awareness activities to meet College and University diversity goals.  She also serves as advisor to Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS).

Aurelio Curbelo

Aurelio is the Multicultural Liaison Officer for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Originally from Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Aurelio received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Iowa State University in Agriculture Education & Studies. He is currently working on a PhD in Higher Education. He is a former graduate student coordinator and has worked with the George Wasington Carver Program for the past four years.

LaJoy Spears

LaJoy Spears is the graduate coordinator of the George Washington Carver Internship Program. She is a PhD student in agricultural education and studies with an interest in distance education. This LaJoy's second year working with the GWC Internship Program.
