While the entire ROTC experience is a pleasurable memory for me, the annual campus run by the Army ROTC cadets to the weekend prior to the school year is a favorite memory of mine.

Often times, it was the first chance ROTC cadets had to reunite with comrades after a summer off at various training schools or other pursuits and it was "campus tour" for new cadets that they wouldn't get any other way. The upper class cadets called cadence the entire route. We ran past the Presidents house via the driveway, around the lake and up the hill by the Memorial Union. Later, we generally had a picnic lunch and played volleyball at the courts by State Gym.
