Rural TeleCon `06

The 10th Annual Conference of the Rural Telecommunications Congress is scheduled for October 22-25, 2006, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Rural TeleCon `06 will feature community success stories based around communities that have transitioned themselves using enhanced telecommunication services, Best Case practices, experts on programs and development issues, and what tools are needed in a community’s toolbox.

The Rural Telecommunications Congress is a national stakeholder organization dedicated to assuring rural communities and rural residents in the United States have access to the information and support they need to obtain and use advanced telecommunications services, particularly broadband digital communications, for community and economic development. Exploring Rural Entrepreneurship

Exploring Rural Entrepreneurship: Imperatives and Opportunities for Research is scheduled for October 26-27, 2006, in Washington, D.C. This is a joint conference convened by the Rural Policy Research Institute and USDA’s Economic Research Service with support from the Northwest Area Foundation and the Farm Foundation.
