The Meat Export Research Center at Iowa State University

The Meat Export Research Center (MERC) was created in 1984 to support the expansion of exports of U.S. meat and meat products and to aid in the development of a stronger agricultural economy .  As a result of the reallocation of resources within the ISU College of Agriculture in 2001, MERC programs and functions have been distributed among appropriate academic departments and centers.  For information about ISU meat science and animal science programs and research, visit the ISU Department of Animal Science

Publication of U.S. Meat Export Analysis and Trade News ceased on June 30, 2001, but electronic copies of back issues are posted at this link.
