Hazardous Solvents Pilot Plant

Overview

This 900-square-foot pilot plant is a state-of-the-art processing facility designed for extractions with up to 290 gallons of highly volatile and flammable solvents. There are only two other facilities of its type in North America. Other equipment is available for smaller volume and flammable reactant extractions. The entire area is secure for spill and vapor containment and has a special spark-proof electrical service to minimize the danger of accidental electrical ignition. Directly adjacent to the work area is a laboratory space for related preparation and analysis.
