OAT VARIETY "BAKER"
The Iowa State University Research Foundation is pleased to announce that “Baker”, a new variety of oat, is now being released for licensing. In the nursery, Baker ranked first for yield and for β-glucan content. It also has high resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus and ranked first and second for protein and oil yield, respectively. There was a very limited quantity available for release in 2006. Watch for additional units being available in 2007.
