Grant Services

Project evaluation, communication, and reporting requirements are integral to all projects. Technology can be effectively used to help PIs achieve requirements of funding agencies and enhance project success.

The Brenton Center can assist in proposal preparation by incorporating technology into the project and by providing estimates for technological components. Specifically, the Brenton Center can assist PIs in conducting project activities and preparing deliverables by offering the following services:

  • Using video to document benchmarks and activities for use in project evaluation and communications
  • Scripting, shooting, and editing "video clips" or preparing a video of the project or a component of the project
  • Live and archived streaming of video over the Internet
  • Digitizing video for WWW, CD-ROM, and/or DVD use
  • Providing "live", two-way IP video-conferencing to enhance and enable collaboration and communications among project partners and funding agencies
  • Developing World Wide Web pages and/or project web site for use in communicating and publicizing project activities and reporting results
  • Developing a CD-ROM or DVD on the project or one or more of its components and duplicating product for distribution
  • Coordinating and facilitating technology use among project partners
  • Providing voice conferencing among project partners
  • Scanning slides, photographs, models, etc. for sharing and use in the project
  • Providing training on using technology (e.g. digital cameras, WWW, video, videoconferencing software applications, WebCT, and presentation strategies and techniques) among partners and/or participants
  • Converting videotape formats for use in other countries
  • Making technical arrangements and providing on-site support for using technologies with participants' universities and agencies
