Brenton Center adds remote capture technology for Fall 2007
Remote capture technology was added this Summer to allow Brenton Center staff to capture faculty teaching in lecture halls across campus and post the lecture for on-line learning just hours after it was taught face-to-face on-campus. This gives off-campus students as well as on-campus students access to the educational materials in a timely manner. Technology upgrades were completed during Summer to improve video and audio capture quality from both Brenton Center classrooms for distance education courses. The upgrades allow staff to synchronize and publish video, audio, and slides for web or CD-ROM delivery in multiple formats. This is another example how College of Agriculture and Life Sciences student delivery fees are being used to improve the quality of distance education courses. + + + + + + + Distance Education Enrollment Soars(Click chart to enlarge) Enrollment in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences distance learning courses continue to grow by leaps and bounds.
