Professor Kessler and his students in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering are working on the processing and characterization of biorenewable polymers and composites. Their highly collaborative work to develop and analyze polymers and composites derived from vegetable oils and proteins rely on a range of techniques spanning the fields of organic chemistry, applied mechanics, thermal analysis, and processing science.
