ISU FARM INCOME TAX SCHOOL OFFERED IN EIGHT CITIES

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University's Farm Income Tax School will be offered this fall in eight locations around Iowa.

The ISU tax school is a two-day training session for tax professionals, including attorneys, accountants and enrolled agents, who have farmer clientele. Now in its 32nd year, the ISU Extension program annually reaches more than 1,500 practitioners on recent law changes and updates in tax legislation.

Roger McEowen, associate professor of agricultural law and policy in ISU's Department of Agricultural Education and Studies, will present the first day's program at all eight locations.

Neil Harl, a Charles F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor of Agriculture and emeritus economics professor at ISU, will present the second day program at four of the eight locations. Three Iowa tax attorneys -- A. David Bibler of Algona, James Goodman of Marshalltown and Lee Wilmarth of Decorah -- will conduct the second-day program at the remaining locations.

The registration fee is $155, which includes tuition, meals and workbook materials. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
