ISU AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING STUDENT CLUBS NAMED BEST IN THE NATION
AMES, Iowa Two Iowa State University agricultural engineering student clubs were named best in the nation at the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) international conference held July 27-30 in Las Vegas.
This is the second year in a row the ASAE Club has received the honor and the fifth year in a row that the Agricultural Systems Technology Club has won.
ISU agricultural and biosystems engineering students also took first and second place in the student paper competition. Amber Hasche, a senior from Hartley, won first place and Vince Stout, a senior from Brighton, won second place.
ISU students also won first place in the student environmental design competition. The winning team included Stout; Pat Murphy, a graduate student from Long Grove; and Mark Mommsen, a senior from Goose Lake.
Jennifer Krebill, a senior from Donnellson, received one of three ASAE Foundation Scholarships. She received the $1,000 William and Marijane Adam ASAE Foundation Scholarship.
