TWO WELL-KNOWN AG ECONOMISTS TO DEBATE AG STRUCTURE ON SEPT. 24

AMES, Iowa -- On Monday, Sept. 24, two well-known agricultural economists will debate the changing structure of agriculture at a program on the Iowa State University campus.

Iowa State's Neil Harl and Ohio State University's Luther Tweeten will be the featured speakers at the event sponsored by Gamma Sigma Delta, the honor society for agriculture, and the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture.

Harl is a Charles F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor in Agriculture and director of the Center for International Agricultural Finance. Tweeten, who earned both his bachelor's degree and Ph.D. at ISU, is the Anderson Professor of Agricultural Marketing, Policy and Trade at Ohio State.

The program will begin at 4 p.m. in the Pioneer Room of the Memorial Union.
