ISU STUDENT CLUB SPONSORS RIDE AND DRIVE FIELD DAY OCT. 27
AMES, Iowa - An Iowa State University student club will give area farmers a chance to see and drive some of the newest farm equipment Oct. 27. This is the second year the Agricultural Systems Technology (AST) Club has sponsored this event. Last year, 300 people attended.
The AST Ride and Drive Field Day will be Saturday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers promise the latest in tractors and tillage equipment will be available for inspection at the field day. There is no charge.
Four dealers will provide the farm equipment for the field day - Ryerson Implement in Nevada, Casady Brothers in Webster City, Nevada Farm Equipment in Nevada and Central Iowa Farm Store in Marshalltown. Equipment brand names will include John Deere, Case International, New Holland, DMI, Sunflower, Brent, AGCO and Caterpillar.
A free noon meal prepared by the Story County Cattlemen will be served. The field day is being held on a private farm north of Ames. Take exit 116 off of Interstate 35 and go east three miles on E29 to the intersection with R77.
