AGRICULTURE CAREER DAY AT IOWA STATE ON OCT. 24

AMES, Iowa -- The strength of the job market in agriculture will be in evidence at one of the nation's largest ag job fairs to be held Oct. 24 at Iowa State University.

Agriculture Career Day will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in ISU's Memorial Union. With more than 145 employers attending, students, alumni and others can find opportunities to meet their goals, said Mike Gaul, director of career services for the College of Agriculture.

Not only are employers seeking full-time employees, but about 70 percent want to fill summer positions and internships, too, Gaul said.

A list of employers who plan to attend is regularly updated on the Web at: http://www.ag.iastate.edu/careerservices/acd.html.

Agriculture Career Day is organized by the College of Agriculture and the Ag Business Club, a student organization. For more information, call ISU's agriculture career services office, (515) 294-4725.
