ISU PLANS MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR LAUREN CHRISTIAN ON MONDAY, NOV. 30
AMES -- A memorial service for Iowa State University professor Lauren Christian will be held on Monday, Nov. 30, at 3 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union on campus.
Christian, 62, died Nov. 23 of cancer. He was a C.F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor in animal science and director of the Iowa Pork Industry Center. The native of LaPorte City, Iowa, had been an ISU faculty member since 1965.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Gilbert Lutheran Church, Gilbert, with burial in the ISU cemetery. Gifts toward a graduate fellowship endowment may be made to the Lauren L. Christian Memorial at the ISU Foundation.
