REGISTER NOW FOR ISU AGRICULTURE OFF-CAMPUS COURSES

AMES -- Registration is underway for the spring 1999 session of Iowa State University College of Agriculture off-campus courses. The registration deadline for many of the courses is Dec. 21.

The courses cover a variety of topics, ranging from agricultural education to applied agricultural meteorology. They include several areas of production agriculture, such as animal ruminant nutrition and sustainable agriculture.

The courses are aimed at traditional students, adults who lack the time to attend traditional classes, and those who simply wish to learn more about the technological changes in agriculture.

They will be delivered over the World Wide Web and the Iowa Communications Network and on videotape. They also will include on-campus lab experiences.

The dates of the courses vary, as do the number of credits and delivery methods. Costs for undergraduate-level courses range from $112 for one-credit courses to $448 for four-credit courses. Graduate-level courses range from $176 for one-credit courses to $704 for four-credit courses. Courses delivered by videotape will include an additional cost of $75 per credit hour.
