AG CAREER DAY SET FOR NOV. 10
AMES, Iowa -- This year, 15 new companies are expected to take part in Iowa State University's Agriculture Career Day.
The annual job fair will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30, at ISU's Memorial Union. More than 2,000 students, alumni and visitors attend.
"We expect to have 140 companies on hand this year," said Mike Gaul, director of ag career services. "The job market for undergraduate students is generally very good right now."
Gaul said the number of careers in urban agriculture and the opportunities for job placement following graduation are increasing. "A high percent of college of ag students find jobs before or shortly after graduation," he said. "Those in which relocation is not a major factor will have an especially good chance."
