NEW SEEDS THE FOCUS OF ISU SEED TECH CONFERENCE FEB. 18
AMES -- Iowa State University's 19th annual Seed Technology Conference on Feb. 18 will examine the production, testing and marketing of new-technology seeds.
Organized by ISU's Seed Science Center, the conference draws seed producers and other seed-industry professionals from around the Midwest.
Management strategies for new corn and soybean seeds with genetic traits such as herbicide tolerance and insect resistance will be addressed. Speaking will be representatives from Corn States Hybrid Service, Dekalb Genetics, Du Pont, ICI/Garst, Monsanto, Mycogen, Iowa Corn Growers Association, Iowa Crop Improvement Association and ISU.
The Iowa Crop Improvement Association will hold its annual meeting and awards dinner during the conference.
