ANIMAL AGRICULTURE CAREER DAY PLANNED FOR APRIL 7

AMES, Iowa -- A career day for high school juniors and seniors interested in animal agriculture will be April 7 at Iowa State University. The event, sponsored by the Block & Bridle Club, will focus on animal science, dairy science and pre-vet programs at the university.

The student-organized event is being held in conjunction with the "Experience Iowa State" program. Prospective students and their parents will spend the morning learning about ISU, enrollment procedures and campus life. In the afternoon, participants interested in the College of Agriculture and animal agriculture programs will meet with academic advisers, tour research labs and hear from student representatives of the Block and Bridle, Dairy Science and Pre-Veterinary clubs.

The event, which begins at 9:15 a.m. in the Memorial Union, is free to students and their families. The program will adjourn at 5 p.m.

The registration deadline is March 31. Vocational agriculture instructors have registration forms. Or call the admissions office at 1-800-262-3810.
