AG WEEK '97 EVENTS SCHEDULED ON ISU CAMPUS

AMES -- Ag Week '97 at Iowa State University, Nov. 3-9, will include a meeting to discuss returning to the farm and a tailgater open to ISU ag alumni.

At 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, a panel discussion, "Back to the Farm: Challenges and Opportunities," will be held in the South Ballroom of the Memorial Union. The event is sponsored by the Farm Bureau Club.

At 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, a tailgate gathering will be held before the ISU-Colorado football game. ISU ag alumni are welcome. For ticket information, call Stacy Konz, 296-1211, by Nov. 5. The event is sponsored by the Agronomy Club and Block 'n' Bridle.

Other events include a volleyball tournament, mock job interviews, a hay ride at the Ag 450 Farm, a formal banquet for students, faculty and staff, and a dance. All events are sponsored by student organizations.

All week a display of agricultural machinery and equipment will be set up near the campanile on central campus, organized by the Agricultural Systems and Technology Club. For more information on Ag Week events, contact Minde Jo Hibma, 233-8872.
