Agricultural Endowment

Intern Participants

Each year the ISU Agricultural Endowment sponsors internships on the ISU Research and Demonstration Farms throughout the state.

Iowa State’s Research and Demonstration Farms have a long tradition of connecting the university’s researchers with Iowa’s farmers, consumers and communities.

The farms, managed by the College of Agriculture, also have served to make another important connection: Putting Iowa State’s undergraduates in touch with agricultural research and extension.

Since 1996, the ISU Agricultural Endowment has supported student interns on ISU’s farms. The organization also has awarded scholarships to ISU students and provided funds to help dozens of students travel internationally.

“The internships are a benefit to our students, our farmers and our state,” said Mark Honeyman, coordinator of the farms and professor of animal science.
