Development Office: Staff

The agriculture and life sciences development office is responsible for alumni relations and private gift fundraising activities that support key strategic initiatives in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, with special emphasis on major gifts from individual alumni and friends of the college. Each member of the office interacts with alumni and friends who support all areas of the college, but individually they provide focused support to specific departments and projects as stated below:

	O. Richard Bundy, III Associate Vice President for Development - Agriculture and Life Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Corporate and Foundation, and Extension 310 Curtiss Hall Ames, IA 50011-1050 (515) 294-9088 direct (515) 294-6613 fax rbundy@iastate.edu Rich is responsible for all private gift fundraising activities that support the Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, plus Corporate and Foundation, Extension, the Plant Sciences Institute, and the Institute for Food Safety. He has specific experience working with international donors and with donors who make gifts of land.

	Raymond Klein Senior Director of Development - Agriculture and Life Sciences 310 Curtiss Hall Ames, IA 50011-1050 (515) 294-3303 direct (515) 294-6613 fax rklein@iastate.edu Ray provides support to the departments of animal science; bio-chemistry, bio-physics, and molecular biology; economics (agricultural business), and sociology. Ray is also responsible for private gift fundraising for the animal science corridor capital project.

	Steven Zoncki Director of Development - Agriculture and Life Sciences 310 Curtiss Hall Ames, IA 50011 (515) 294-1118 direct (515) 294-6613 fax szoncki@iastate.edu Steven provides support to the departments of Agricultural Education and Studies, Entomology, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Horticulture and Natural Resource Ecology and Management. Steven is also responsible for fundraising for the Horticulture Teaching and Research Greenhouse Complex which will be reconstructed solely through the generous support of private donors.

	Craig Schmidt Director of Development - Agriculture and Life Sciences 310 Curtiss Hall Ames, IA 50011-1050 (515) 294-9328 direct (515) 294-6613 fax craigs@iastate.edu Craig provides support to the departments of Ag and Biosystems Engineering; Agronomy; Ecology Evolution and Organismal Biology, Genetics Development and Cell Biology; and Plant Pathology. Craig is also responsible for private gift fundraising for the new Ag and Biosystems Engineering facility.

	Beth Weiser Program Assistant II 310 Curtiss Hall Ames, IA 50011-1050 (515) 294-9332 direct (515) 294-6613 fax weiser@iastate.edu Beth is Rich Bundy's assistant and acts as a meeting planner for a number of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences alumni and donor events. She also coordinates the support staff, monitors the finances for the office, and is the web designer for the office.

Amy also coordinates the Annual Endowed Account Review.
