"Each year, the development staff discusses fundraising needs with the department chairs and program directors in the college. For the current fiscal year, more than $100 million in funding needs were identified. These projects were then pared down through dialogue with the dean and associate deans, until targeted projects totaling $9.65 million were identified as priorities for the College. These priorities fall into one of four broad categories, which are described as follows:
