Recognition Awards Policy

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences supports the recognition of and commitment to Professional & Scientific employees for exceptional performance, significant contributions and substantial accomplishments beyond normal or regular work responsibilities. The recognition may represent a wide range of awards and recognition opportunities at departmental, college, university, regents, and/or external (regional, national, and international) levels. Department, college, university or regents recognition may include monetary awards (e.g., pay for exceptional performance, donor supported stipends, and honorariums) and/or other methods of recognition (e.g., awards dinners and ceremonies; certificates and engraved plaques or mementos; and naming opportunities). Records for awards should be maintained annually. The dean is responsible for reporting such awards to the Executive Vice President and Provost and, as mandated, to other designated administrative offices.
